3 Physical Ways to Boost Metabolism

When trying to lose weight, there are so many ways to approach your goals. Here, I wanted to share with you three physical things you can do to boost your metabolism. While you may be predisposed to run at a certain rate based on your individuality and genetic make up, there is plenty of room for improvement. When you improve your metabolic rate, you burn more calories…which means it becomes easier to drop those unwanted pounds. Try these three simple workout tips to get started.

Get at least 30 minutes of your favorite cardiovascular activity 3 to 5 times per week. If you want to get your metabolism pumping, you are going to have to get your heart pumping too!

 

Working with intervals in your cardiovascular training is what will really help rev up your internal engines. Try sprinting for one minute and walking for two minutes. Start with just three rounds.

 

Lifting weights help you build muscle. Muscle burns more calories than fat. That means that even when you are resting, you will be burning more calories! Try lifting at about 80% max weight as many reps as possible until you reach muscle fatigue.
