Angie Cherry – Owner and Instructor
Angie came to her mat in 2005 for healing, movement and balance in her life. What she learned through her practice was transformative and she was inspired to teach yoga to others. In 2012 she got certified to teach and through teaching, she hopes that others are able to experience a deeper connection with themselves and those they care about. Her classes are creative, soulful and meant to be a haven for self-expression, curiosity and growth. She enjoys teaching to all levels and believes everyone needs yoga, every single day.
Angie is also the creator of Fly High Yoga School, created to support others in deepening their practice or becoming a 200 Yoga Alliance Certified Instructor. This program is also a registered continuing education school. She runs yearly programs and more information can be found at www.bodyblissyogastudio.com/teacher-training-portland-vancouver/.
When Angie is not at the studio, you can bet she is hanging out with her wonderful husband and three beautiful boys.
Angie teaches several classes per week and seasonal SUP yoga classes.
Kristine Archer – RYT Registered Yoga Instructor
Kristine was initially drawn to yoga purely for the physical benefits. As an avid runner she wanted the strength, flexibility and conditioning that yoga can offer. What she was not expecting was how much yoga would awaken her. She continues to enjoy examining the mind body connection on her mat, in running and in life. She hopes to inspire her students to step out of their comfort zone and find their inner strength.
Kristine teaches Monday morning Detox Flow at 9:30AM, Bodysculpt on Wednesdays at 6:15PM and Stretch and Roll Wednesdays at 7:30PM.
Jenessa Stark – RYT Registered Yoga Instructor
My yoga path began when a focus on journalism and multimedia in high school and college made the imminent stress of a desk job with deadlines unbearable. Yoga became a stress relieving personal practice. After years of balancing school with bar and restaurant jobs, I realized that while I enjoyed helping people enjoy themselves, I wanted to help them do so in the best way possible for their bodies and minds. Parallel to this were incidents of poor health in my family, which combined to spark an inner fire that burned for change. My journey in yoga and movement led me to The Lotus Seed, where I obtained the 200 hour RYT in 2013 with a focus on Iyengar/Hatha methods.
As a lifetime student of yoga, my goal is to absorb as much knowledge as possible to share with other students. My intention is to help people step outside of their hectic lives and take time for themselves, so that they may thrive.
Off the mat, I enjoy backpacking through and photographing the great Northwest, dabbling in graphic design, passing hours in the kitchen, and spending time with my husband and our furry husky family.
Jenessa teaches Thursday evening Vinyasa Flow at 6:00PM and Restorative at 7:30PM.
Mari Coryell – RYT Registered Yoga Instructor
After a casual home yoga practice, Mari Coryell began classes soon after Body Bliss Yoga opened in Washougal in 2012. The next step to deepening her practice was to join their first yoga Teacher Training.
With an emphasis on helping people stay as active as possible, Mari’s light heart and gentle spirit will gratefully welcome all who wish to share the yoga path.
Mari teaches Restorative Yoga on Tuesdays at 7:30PM and Fridays at 6:00PM.
